Since qualifying as a midwife in 2014 after training in Birmingham, I’ve been lucky enough to work across some of the UK’s busiest and most respected maternity units, including community settings, birth centres and labour wards.

My NHS career has taken me from St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester to Imperial College Healthcare Trust, and now at Barnet Hospital in London.

Additionally, I have significant experience in private hospital midwifery care, including at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in London.

Along the way, I’ve cared for women and families from all walks of life, supporting both straightforward pregnancies and more complex maternity journeys, including work within foetal medicine.

What I love most about midwifery is the relationships I build with women and their families. Pregnancy, birth and being a new parent can feel exciting, emotional, overwhelming — and sometimes all three at once. I believe every woman deserves to feel listened to, supported, and cared for throughout her journey.

My approach is calm, personal, and centred around understanding each family’s individual needs, fears, and hopes for birth and early parenthood.

I am committed to a high standard of care, and have particular interest in the post-partum period, supporting breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, and find this especially rewarding in the more difficult and complex cases.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wonderfully diverse range of communities, including women with complex medical needs and vulnerable families requiring additional support. These experiences have shaped the kind of midwife I am today: compassionate, adaptable, and deeply respectful of every woman’s choices and circumstances.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m passionate about education and development, and I regularly mentor both student and newly qualified midwives to help support the next generation of maternity care.

Currently, I am also an Antenatal Instructor with Bump & Baby Club, where I run antenatal classes designed to help parents feel informed, confident, and prepared for birth as well as life with a newborn.

I hold professional registration with both the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Royal College of Midwives, as well as being fully trained and up-to-date in neonatal resuscitation, basic life support, and safeguarding.

Outside of work, I’m married to a full-time GP in NW London and mother to two wonderful young boys, who like to keep me entertained and my football skills surprisingly sharp!

“For me, midwifery has always been about more than clinical care — it’s about creating a safe, positive experience where women feel heard, empowered, and supported every step of the way.”
